SUNRISE truck and bus wash gantries

The SUNRISE W4000 and W4700 are rollover gantries that wash buses, coaches, rigid trucks, vans and trailers while the vehicle stands still. Each travels on fixed rails with a 400 cm gauge and runs from a PLC.

Two heights for depot fleets

Both models wash with two vertical brushes and one horizontal brush, in PE plastic or soft brush. The W4000 washes up to 420 cm high; the W4700 reaches 470 cm, for double-deck coaches and high-cube trailers. Both wash up to 285 cm wide.

Each model has automatic programs for every vehicle type and a manual control option. Menus are in Turkish and English. Frames use A1 grade DKP steel under an electrostatic powder coat, and hot-dip galvanization is optional.

The five wash stages

  1. Chassis wash

Nozzles at the line entrance spray the underbody at 7.5 to 10 bar, in automatic or manual mode, over a reinforced concrete substructure.

  2. Robotic side wash

Two or four turbo jet nozzles send pulsating jets along the sides at 70 to 100 bar.

  3. Brush wash

Brushing is two vertical and one horizontal brush, all pressure controlled.

  4. Surface drying

Surface drying is done by an automatic sweeping unit that uses high-pressure water.

  5. Winter drain

Below +4 °C, a push-button winter drain clears water and chemicals from the lines and turns the brushes.

Hydrowash for liveried vehicles

Hydrowash is a brushless option for vehicles whose livery or finish should not meet a brush. The robots spray at 20 and 30 bar, with no brush contact. They read the vehicle's size, loosen dirt with chemicals before the jets, and get into indented and protruding surfaces.

Optional equipment has a water requirement of 250 lt/min. Installed power and water requirement both shift with optional equipment, water recovery and cold-weather packages, all quoted per site.

Driver guidance and the drive train

Steel router guide pipes, 3 inches in diameter, line the concrete floor. A 24 VDC LED traffic light at the rail start and a second on the machine body show red while the gantry runs or is off, and green when it is ready to wash.

Energy transmission is chain-driven, which reduces load on the gearbox and motor. Separate galvanized lines carry rinse water, shampoo and chemicals, with electrically operated dosing pumps metering them and 24 V DC solenoid valves switching them.
