Train and metro wash systems built to the depot
Wash systems for metro trains, light rail and rail vehicles are built to order by Europe Makine. The specification follows the trainset profile, the depot road and the cycle time available per set.

Specified on cycle time per set
A rail wash is specified on two figures: the cycle time per set and the length of depot road the wash occupies. Both are set against the turnaround window the depot works to.
Cab ends, roof equipment, door recesses and inter-car gaps are treated on the same pass. The brush and nozzle layout is drawn to the vehicle profile.
Drawn to the running line
Each system fits the existing running line, so the geometry of the track, the structure gauge, clearances and electrification all feed the drawing. Construction is modular, and it is built in Europe Makine's own facility.
Washing is by contact or by high pressure without contact, chosen per project against the livery and finish of the fleet. PLC computer control runs automatic programs with a manual override, for attended or unattended operation.
Built in Europe Makine's own facility
Europe Makine brings more than 30 years in the production, sale and after-sales service of automatic wash machines. Its in-house R&D designs custom automatic washing systems to customer demand, and rail systems are drawn that way, from the operator's rolling stock and depot.
The same company builds SUNRISE gantries for buses, coaches and trucks, so an operator running road and rail fleets can specify both classes with one supplier. Every machine in the range runs under PLC control.

Water recovery from the start
Water recovery and recycling are specified into a rail wash from the first drawing. The system is sized against the volume used per set and the site's discharge consent.
What a rail wash quotation starts from
-
Rolling stock
Which stock runs there, how long each set is and how many sets there are.
-
Depot road
How much road is available, with its clearances and electrification.
-
Wash frequency
How often each set is washed and the turnaround window.
-
Operation
Whether the wash is attended or unattended.
-
